Food Trailer Standard Equipment and Features

Food concession trailers must be equipped to meet the regulations of the local county health department as well as having the equipment to meet the food preparation requirements of the owner/operator. Other equipment can be added for your comfort or convenience when working in the stand.

The local health authority in your area will specify a basic list of “must have” equipment that they feel is necessary to safely prepare food in their environment. This basic equipment list varies all across the country. Once this mandatory equipment layout is known, all that needs to be added are the major food preparation appliances to suit your menu.

Summary of Trailer Equipment Layout:

  1. Mandatory Equipment Specified by the County Health Department.
  2. Equipment Required to Prepare Your Retail Food Menu.
  3. Optional Comfort and Convenience Equipment.

The standard equipment list shown below meets the requirements of most county health departments. If your local health authority requires additional features, just let us know. We are happy to customize a kitchen trailer to suit your exact needs.

We have also included some items that we feel are necessary or very useful for safety and efficiency in the day to day running of a mobile food concession stand. Again, if your needs are different, we are happy to build to your exact specifications.
